Abstract: Korona virüs küresel salgını tüm dünyada her seviyede eğitimi olumsuz yönde etkilemiş, eğitimciler alışkın olmadıkları çevrimiçi eğitim araçlarını hızlı bir şekilde öğrenmek ve kullanmak durumunda kalmışlardır. Küresel salgın sonrasında yeniden şekillenecek üniversite eğitimine hazırlıklı olmak için uzaktan eğitimin tarihsel gelişimi ile günümüzdeki halini bilmek gerekmektedir. Bu çalışmada önce dünyada ve Türkiye’de uzaktan eğitimin kısa tarihçesi sunulmuş, dana sonra çevrimiçi eğitim araçlarından kısaca bahsedilerek makine teorisi eğitimi özelinde bir örnek uygulama ile bazı önerilere yer verilmiştir.
Corona virus pandemic had a bad influence on all levels of education all over the world and educators had to rapidly learn how to use online education tools. In order to be prepared for the university education that will be reshaped after the pandemic, instructors should learn about historical development and current state of distance education. This study first presents a brief history of distance education in the world and in Turkey. Then online teaching tools are briefly mentioned and some suggestions are provided through an example of a course on theory of machines.
