Abstract: Kapali hücreli alüminyum köpük metallerin üretim metodları, mikroyapisi, mekanik özellikleri ve uygulama alanları özetlenmiştir.
Closed-cell aluminum foam's production methods, microstructure, mechanical properties and application areas were summarized. One of the important mechinical properties of these materials is their high energy absorption capabilities under compression. Compression tests were applied to aluminum metal foams of different densities produced by Fraunhofer Research Center. it was found that increasing metal foam density increased compression strengfh while it1:iecrease9 energy absorption capacities of metal foams. Foam cell's walls were observed to be covered by a thin oxide layer.
